Fluvial Procession

This was the scene during fluvial procession before His grand day “sinulog grand parade”. There are many colorful boats decorated with blossoming flowers during this event.

For this year, I was not able to join the fluvial procession. I missed this kind event. I hope next year, I can get ticket earlier so that I can join the fluvial procession.

Masskara Festival

This is MEMOMAGNET, a souvenir item from Bacolod Masskara Festival. The term Masskara is coined from two words, meaning crowd and Spanish word Cara, for face thus the double meaning for mask and many faces.

The Masskara festival was first conceived in 1980 to add color and gaiety to the Bacolod celebration of its Charter Day Anniversary on 19th of October. The symbol of the festival- a smiling mask was adopted by the organizer to dramatize the Negrenses happy spirit, despite periodic economic downturns in the sugar industry.

Secrets of Camotes Island

The Island is located at the northeast of Cebu. To cross the island, one has to go to Danao City, an hour away from Cebu City or take a fast ferry. Travel to and from the island is around 2 hours.

Last 25th of March 2010, we had been to Camotes Island, Cebu for an Outing. It was the 3rd time of the High School Mapeh Department to have an outing, right after the end of the school year. Wow! The trip was so amazing! We discover the secrets of Camotes Island… Not knowing, there are lots of beautiful beaches, resorts and caves in the island.

I have here some photographs…

Experience the Camotes getaway at the Mangodlong Beach Resorts, where you can rest and relax while enjoying the best this island can offer.

For those people who want tranquil moments, Mangodlong Resorts offers a more relaxing atmosphere, perfect for those who want to forget the cares of urban living.

Timubo Cave is unforgettable and memorable significant to the people living in Barangay Sonog long time ago because the water inside served as their source of water supply used for washing, cooking food and as drinking water.

Cebu Tourist Spots

A tropical island of sugar-white beaches and swaying palms, Cebu shines throughout the year with its signature warmth and hospitality, vibrant people and extraordinarily pulsating life.

Located right at the heart of the Philippine archipelago, Cebu is the commercial and business hub in the south. It is also the favourite shopping and recreation destination of the nearby cities of visayas and Mindanao. Teeming with a number of world-class resorts and hotels, Cebu is an idyllic getaway for those who are tired of the hustle of the city life.

Places that I love to go...

Mactan Island
A coral island and famous for scuba diving where beach resorts of international standards are located.

Moalboal
Famous for beautiful corals and reef, white sandy beaches. A popular diving destination.

Badian Island
White sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The west coast is ideal for swimming and snorkelling. A walk or tour on the whole island can be done for about two hours.

Camotes Island
The Island is located at the northeast of Cebu. To cross the island, one has to go to Danao City, an hour away from Cebu city or take a fast ferry. Travel to and from the island is around 2 hours.

Kawasan Falls
Located in Badian, one can feel the coolness of the surrounding lush greenery of these panoramic waterfalls.

Olango Wildlife Sanctuary
Olango Island supports the largest concentration of migratory birds found so far in the country. These birds fly as far as to Australia and New Zealand from late July until late November. By late February until May. The birds return to their breeding grounds in the reverse Northward Migration. These birds use olango as a major refuelling station as well as a wintering ground.
