A Stage Play entitled "PIRING". It is about children who are victim of human trafficking.

Pagdiriwang sa Buwan ng Wika, this years’ theme is “Ang Filipino ay Wikang Panlhat, Ilaw at Lakas sa Tuwid na Landas”. You can also download Department of Education Memorandum 148 regarding this nationwide celebration.

Here are the activities and highlights of each week:

August 1 to 7, the focus is in giving importance to the national language which will be highlighted by taking to heart the lyrics of the national anthem.

August 8 to 14, the highlight is on the importance of the national language in enforcing discipline that will lead to national development. For this, the text of the pledge of allegiance to the Philippine flag will be dissected and put to heart. The schools are encouraged to stage plays and writing contests that emphasize why discipline is important in achieving progress.

On August 15 to 21, the theme is the use of language as an instrument to achieve freedom and justice. Schools are encouraged to conduct a symposium on the history of the country’s struggle for freedom and the holding of debate following the theme “Ang Kahalagahan ng Wika sa Larangan ng Katarungan.”

For the week of August 22 to 28, the theme is “Wikang Filipino: Tugon sa Malinaw na Programa sa Tuwid na Landas.” The week will be about composing songs and writing poetry on the programs being pursued by the government such as caring for the environment, cleanliness and promotion of national language.

I have noticed during spare time, most of the children or teenagers are busy chatting and playing with laptops or iPod. In new generation, students may not enjoy simple conversation or games. They want virtual and manipulative one. They are so much crazy about internet Match 3 Games.

What really keep them crazy and regularly on line? I asked one of my students named Paul. He explained to me that Online Match 3 Games are fun and exciting. He explained further that once you play it, you are looking forward to the next level/stages, level-up, and strive on winning the games.

High School Days is coming and one of the high lights of this is the presentation of each year level their very own “Playground Demonstration”. One of the participants is the 1st year, which was led by Ms. Alquisola, Mrs. Gob and Mr. Jongko. The participants under Ms. Alquisola and Mr. Jongko are composed of (8) eight sections namely Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, Jade, Gold, Orange, Pearl and Bronze.

In preparation of this said activity, Ms. Alquisola had a day-to-day practice with the participants. The participants spend half of their time practicing and half to make the props. Ashly Borbon, one the participants said that even though it is tiring it is all worth it.

Ms. Alquisola said, “To make this successful we must all cooperate and word hand in hand to make this thing a successful one. Therefore, this coming high school days we must cheer and watch our classmates and schoolmates as the rock the UC main quadrangle.
