I am just an ordinary person. This was how I have always felt about myself. Everything changed when I discovered the Lord and found that I have worth, waiting to be discovered. When I see that I touch the lives of many people, especially children and women, I am the service that I do for Him, I feel very pleased. Before, I would compare my life to a dessert with no life, just anger, pain, and bitterness.
Now, I see how fortunate I am to be experiencing this life with the Lord at my side as I encounter people who have yet to know Him and recognize the transformation that only He can give. God is good. He transformed my life and changed my perspective about myself. He gave me the strength and courage to do what He wants me to do, to serve Him. Who am I? It does not matter who I am, it only matters that I am God’s.

Who Am I
Jesus Show the Way
God has given us the gifts and powers of the Holy Spirit to be used to bring man back to His fold. The Holy Spirit gives us the gifts of healing, wisdom, faith, discernment, and prophecy so we can move forward and evangelize the lost, and train the sheep to be shepherds. Jesus shows us the way.
Let us believe in Jesus-His words, and especially His promise that He will send us Advocate to help us in doing God’s mission. We need to pray, so that God can give us the strength and wisdom to do our work according to His will. We need to believe and be bold in obeying in His instructions to us.
In addition, if we do that, we will not get lost; for Jesus lights our path all the time, we need not stumble in the dark when we reach out to Him in confidence. All we need to do is put our trust in Him.

The Family
Like Simone, we await the consolation of Jesus and we can expect to be amazed at what the Holy Spirit will reveal to us about our children and God’s plan for them. We are reminded, too, that as we raise our children, it will not always be a bed of roses. We will also experience pains and hurts in our family relationships, just as Mary had been forewarned. But like Joseph and Mary, Simone and Anna, if we faithfully love and serve the Lord and witness this to our children, then we are assured that our family is in the best hands.

The Joy That A Child Can Bring
The scenario was no different when the parents of Jesus presented Him at the temple in observance of the Jewish tradition. No Less than Simeon was so delighted and grateful at the sight of Jesus. Joseph and Mary must have been filled with pride and happiness during this encounter. We also feel proud and happy when people take notice and admire the child held in our arms. Not only do we feel blessed having contributed to humanity, we also feel proud being a vital part of an institution called family.
Children are God’s message of love for all. They are always precious in His eyes. For as long as there are Children, the human race is assured to exist and for children to flourish, they need a family.

Looking for A Miracle
| Photo Credit goes to: Google Images and Beyond Bones |
It has been some two thousand years since the Wise Men followed the star of Bethlehem to the manager of the Christ-child. Theirs was a long journey made in faith. They sought Christ and their efforts paid off. They found Him.
But the centuries have passed. The star the Wise Men followed is no longer visible in the night sky and Christ is no longer a baby in a manger. Yet many of us still seek signs, wonders, and miracles to prove that God is still in our midst. Many of us need such manifestations to bolster our sagging faith. Many of us relish the extraordinary manifestations of the Spirit that the Christmas story provides in abundance. We want miracles, we want to be able to touch God, or else we simply refuse to believe, like the disciple Thomas.
True, the star can no longer be seen, Christ is no longer a baby in a manger. However, the miracles of God continue. Too often, what’s really missing is the to see those miracles in the daily events of our lives.

Prayer for Threating Earthquake and Tsunami
Just this afternoon, a powerful earthquake triggered a tsunami up to 10m or 30ft, with waves of 7m battering the Japanese coast. As what I have seen and heard in the news CNN, the earthquake measured 8.9 magnitudes. According to them, this was the largest earthquake in Japan’s history.
Here, the Philippine Institute of Volcano logy and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) issued a tsunami warning that could affect 19 coastal provinces in the Philippines. It seems alarming and frightening news.
For the devastation, and victims of Japan’s Tsunami let us all pray together:
Dear God,
We fervently pray for your intercession so that our nation will be spared from a treating earthquake and tsunami. Save us from further calamities by embracing our country with your protective grace and merciful blessings. We ask this thru your son Jesus Christ and with the intercession of our Mother Mary. Amen.
