The Joy That A Child Can Bring

A child held in the arms of a parent is always a sight to behold. Every so often, we see a mother or father gently holding a child at a park, inside a church, a mall, or other places where people usually go. This tender scene always strikes the heart.

The scenario was no different when the parents of Jesus presented Him at the temple in observance of the Jewish tradition. No Less than Simeon was so delighted and grateful at the sight of Jesus. Joseph and Mary must have been filled with pride and happiness during this encounter. We also feel proud and happy when people take notice and admire the child held in our arms. Not only do we feel blessed having contributed to humanity, we also feel proud being a vital part of an institution called family.

Children are God’s message of love for all. They are always precious in His eyes. For as long as there are Children, the human race is assured to exist and for children to flourish, they need a family.
