Outdoor Fun

As a troop leader and Girl Guide for ten years. Camping spells many irresistible charms in the heart of every Girl Scout. I have noticed that my scouters are looking forward for any outdoor activities like adventure, fun, treks, camping and hiking. Furthermore, the unforgettable experience that leaves beautiful meanings on their impressionable mind.

Recently, we had our Council Encampment. This encampment will prepare and help them develop their skills, to be responsible and independent. In addition, they learn to build and sleep in a pup tent, cooked, budget and manage their supplies. These and many more are delightful experiences that would remember. During our camp evaluation, our troop was recognized and awarded as best in quarters and tent. The critics were amazed of our camp layout and quarters.

Indeed, I am grateful that my scouters learned the skills, attitudes and acquired actual learning situation. What’s more, I really appreciate the effort of our school for providing us our request especially our highly recommended tents , sleeping bags and gadgets. Thanks to shopwiki.com for giving us ideas and providing our needs in outdoor activities.

Magic Spell

Halloween

A Magic Spell. If you could devise a magical spell...

My two questions:

1. What would it be and what would it do?

2. Why you chose this new spell and how you would use it.

My answers:

1. A traveler wand, so that I can travel and visit to different places. See and explore the wonders of the world.

2. Hehehe... a flying wand? Nope, a magic wand. Happy Halloween!

Catchy Information

Annually we had an outing or adventure in our department. We commonly look for places and activity that is new to us. As an instructor of physical education subject, we had fun in indulging sports. One thing that we find more challenging and interesting is playing golf. Besides, we have not tried this yet before. However, this sport is quite difficult and hard. Especially, to the beginners like me who have not exposed to this kind of activity. I have to double time, read and familiarize with golf course signage.

Following some golf course signs help me a lot and serve as an orientation to myself. Honestly, I had a hard time to work on this sport. It is so tough for me to get the timing of the head and swinging my grips. In addition, hitting the golf ball and let this fall into the holes. Really, it is not that easy to play golf.

There are many things to learn not only techniques but also the site layout. At first, I am hesitant to ask where, how and what to do next. I am glad that there is golf course sign installed. I have seen it in different designs and finish that help the area and golfers more at ease. On the other hand, a great help for information of the area.

Masskara Festival

This is MEMOMAGNET, a souvenir item from Bacolod Masskara Festival. The term Masskara is coined from two words, meaning crowd and Spanish word Cara, for face thus the double meaning for mask and many faces.

The Masskara festival was first conceived in 1980 to add color and gaiety to the Bacolod celebration of its Charter Day Anniversary on 19th of October. The symbol of the festival- a smiling mask was adopted by the organizer to dramatize the Negrenses happy spirit, despite periodic economic downturns in the sugar industry.

Secrets of Camotes Island

The Island is located at the northeast of Cebu. To cross the island, one has to go to Danao City, an hour away from Cebu City or take a fast ferry. Travel to and from the island is around 2 hours.

Last 25th of March 2010, we had been to Camotes Island, Cebu for an Outing. It was the 3rd time of the High School Mapeh Department to have an outing, right after the end of the school year. Wow! The trip was so amazing! We discover the secrets of Camotes Island… Not knowing, there are lots of beautiful beaches, resorts and caves in the island.

I have here some photographs…

Experience the Camotes getaway at the Mangodlong Beach Resorts, where you can rest and relax while enjoying the best this island can offer.

For those people who want tranquil moments, Mangodlong Resorts offers a more relaxing atmosphere, perfect for those who want to forget the cares of urban living.

Timubo Cave is unforgettable and memorable significant to the people living in Barangay Sonog long time ago because the water inside served as their source of water supply used for washing, cooking food and as drinking water.
